Privacy Policy — The Organized Homeschool

This Privacy Notice explains how Remergify, Inc. ("Remergify", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use The Organized Homeschool (the "Service"), available at homeschool.wipeboard.io. Remergify, Inc. is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email address, hashed password, and authentication identifiers.
Profile and household data: homeschool profile, household members, children's first names and grade levels that you choose to add.
Content you create: boards, lesson plans, templates, reminders, and notes.
Billing data: subscription status, plan, and transaction references. Card numbers are handled by Paddle and are never stored by us.
Support communications: messages you send to support@wipeboard.io.
Usage and device data: IP address, browser/device identifiers, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic telemetry needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your data

To create and operate your account and deliver the features you request (contract performance).
To process payments, subscriptions, invoicing, and tax compliance via our Merchant of Record (contract performance and legal obligation).
To send transactional emails such as welcome, billing, and security notices (contract performance).
To prevent fraud, abuse, and secure the Service (legitimate interests).
To improve the Service, debug, and analyze aggregate usage (legitimate interests).
To respond to support requests (contract performance / legitimate interests).
To comply with applicable law (legal obligation).

3. How we share your data

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, billing, tax compliance, subscription management, invoicing, and related customer service. See Paddle's privacy notice for details.
Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and serve data on our behalf (database, authentication, file storage, email delivery).
Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
Authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. International transfers

Remergify, Inc. is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States and in the regions our subprocessors operate. Where required, transfers from the UK/EEA rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

5. Retention

We keep account, profile, and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to keep it longer for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@wipeboard.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically within one month under UK/EU GDPR).

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Paddle may set cookies during checkout that are essential for completing your purchase.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults (typically parents and guardians). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Any child information stored in the Service is entered by the account holder for household planning purposes.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
